SDF lifted its siege on the Syrian government centers in Hasakah and Qamishli

The governor of Hasakah, Major General Ghassan Khalil, confirmed in a statement that the Russian side reached a preliminary agreement with the SDF to lift the siege imposed on the neighborhoods of Hasakah and Qamishli 21 days ago, confirming that the Syrian government side has been officially informed of it.

The governor added that they are awaiting its implementation by the SDF organization in the coming hours in all neighborhoods of the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli.

The implementation of the initial agreement reached by the Russian side and the SDF organization began to remove a number of checkpoints, which it had installed in recent days at the entrance to the Tayy neighborhood (back and forth) at the al Wehda roundabout and on the road to al Baath bakery in The city of Qamishli, north of Hasakah.

The SDF organization has already started removing the concrete barriers that it has placed in Palestine and Fardosa streets and at the checkpoint of al Nashwa neighborhood, all of which reach the center of Hasakah, while allowing cars and motorcycles to enter and exit from and to neighborhoods in the city of Hasakah.

The SDF organization officially announced work to end the state of tension in the province of Hasakah, according to an official statement in which it stated that “As a goodwill gesture, in order to preserve the unity of the Syrian soil and land and preserve the blood of the Syrians, we affirm the return of normal life and allow all materials to enter the areas”.
