Beginning of the new year, the German interior ministers made an earlier decision to cancel the suspension of deportation for the perpetrators of the crimes of the Syrian nationality holders, which had been in effect since 2012, and thus there will be a deportation of the perpetrators and everyone who poses a threat to the security of the German state.
What is new in this decision is the announcement of the German Interior Minister on Sunday, that he has contacted the head of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) to open the files of refugees and to start deporting anyone who has a crime or poses a threat to security in Germany, starting from January 1, 2021.
From Seehofer’s viewpoint the deportation law will act as a deterrent to criminals, and if the deportation law is not enforced, then this means that a Syrian refugee can do anything in Germany from shoplifting to murder.
“One thing should be clear to everyone: Anyone who commits a serious criminal offense or does not respect our constitution should leave our country,” said Seehofer.
On the other hand, many human rights organizations and social organizations criticized the decision of German interior ministers to deport the perpetrators of crimes from Germany.
