The former prime minister of Turkey, the leader of the “Future” party Ahmet Davutoglu asked President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in which he asked him to reveal the identity of the “person who runs the country” in fact.
“Who is the person who is in charge of running the country?”, he said during a press conference, addressing Erdogan.
Are you the one running the country or Mr. Bahceli I wonder?”, referring to the head of the far-right National Movement Party, Dawlat Bahceli.
Davutoglu considered that Bahçeli controls the fate of the ministers and leaders of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) government, adding: “During the past two years after the transition to the presidential system of government, Mr. Bahçeli has become the final decision-maker to stop the resignations of some, accept the resignations of some, dismiss others, and the necessity to prosecute some or not try them”.
The Turkish opposition newspaper “Zaman”, citing its sources, confirms that Bahçeli belongs to the so-called “deep state” organization, which is an organization that infiltrates all state institutions from the army to the judiciary to the police.
