Russia and the US will hold talks on strategic stability tomorrow, at a time when the chances of extending the New START treaty diminish

Russia’s TASS news agency reported on Sunday, the Russian Foreign Ministry, that Russia and the United States will hold talks tomorrow in Helsinki on strategic stability.

The nuclear arms control deal between Russia and the United States has become the focus of the deal, as it expires in February.

Russia sees little opportunities to extend the New START treaty, the last major nuclear weapons treaty between the two countries, because it does not accept the conditions set by Washington.
