The US president and his wife were infected with the Coronavirus

US President Donald Trump announced that he and the first lady were infected with the Covid-19.

The White House said: Trump will continue to perform his duties without interruption during the quarantine and indicated that his planned trip to Florida to deliver a speech to his supporters has been canceled.

According to the White House statement, Trump will participate, at 12:15 local time, Friday, in a “video conference”, to support the elderly at risk of the Coronavirus “Covid-19”, and the conference is scheduled to be held without a press presence.

Supervising physician Sean Connelly said in a statement on Friday: “I have received confirmation that President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have been confirmed to have Covid-19.

The president and first lady are in good shape at the moment, and they intend to stay in the White House while they are being treated.

“I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without any interruption during his treatment,” Conley added in the statement.

Earlier, Trump announced that he and his wife Melania Trump had been confirmed with the Coronavirus.

The doctor supervising their follow-up, Sean Connelly, stated that both Trump and his wife are in good health, and he expected Trump to continue his duties as president without any interruption.

Trump announced Thursday evening that he will subject himself to a quarantine pending the release of the results of his Covid-19 test, after the result of the Coronavirus test for one of his close advisers came positive.

“This evening, I and the first lady tested positive for COVID-19, and we will immediately begin the quarantine period,” the president wrote on Twitter. We’ll get through this together!”

He did not specify how long he would remain in quarantine, at a time when public health experts recommend a period of up to 14 days.

Trump announced through Fox News that the results of the Covid-19 test for his close advisor Hope Hicks had come out positive, and said, “I just took a test, we’ll see. Who knows?”.

Hicks was on Air Force One with the US president when he traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday to participate in the debate with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

She also traveled with him on Wednesday when he visited Minnesota at a rally.

“They are working very hard,” Trump said.

Often she wears a mask, but she has tested positive”, noting that he spends“ a long time with Hope, just like the first lady”.

Hicks joined the real estate mogul’s campaign team in early 2016, and is part of the president’s inner circle.
