The European Commission President warns Turkey against any attempt to intimidate its neighbors

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on Tuesday warned Ankara against any attempt to “intimidate” its neighbors in the context of the dispute over gas resources that Turkey is facing with Greece in the eastern Mediterranean.

“Yes, Turkey is in a region experiencing turmoil,” von der Leyen said in her annual speech on the state of the European Union to the European Parliament.

Yes, they receive millions of refugees, which we pay for their hosting of substantial financial aid.

But none of that justifies the attempts to intimidate its neighbors”.
