The Sunday Times: British intelligence reveals a coordination between “Hezbollah” and the New IRA

The British newspaper “Sunday Times” revealed “coordination and relationship” between the Lebanese “Hezbollah” and the banned “New Irish Republican Army”.

The newspaper said in its report that British intelligence had concluded that an alliance might have emerged between “Hezbollah” and the “new Irish Republican Army”, according to which the Lebanese party would provide its Irish counterpart with money and weapons.

The newspaper pointed out that this conclusion was based on evidence gathered by an agent in the British intelligence service.

According to the newspaper, members of the opposition organization began communicating with “Hezbollah” in 2017, and some of them traveled to Lebanon in 2018 to meet with representatives of the party, after which they obtained weapons.
