al Akidat tribe expels SDF from the town of eastern Syria

The town of Jadid al Akidat in the eastern countryside of Deir al Zour is witnessing a state of tension after violent clashes between the local residents of the “al Akidat” tribe and gunmen loyal to the US army who were controlling it.

Local sources in the countryside of Deir al Zour, stated that the members of the al Akidat tribe had taken control of a number of SDF organization sites affiliated with the US army inside the town of (Jadid Akidat) east of Deir al Zour, and they expelled the militants of the organization from the town after arresting and detained a number of them inside the town.

The sources explained that armed clashes erupted between members of the al Akidat tribe with the militants of SDF organization, after the latter sent military reinforcements, on Tuesday, September 8th, to arrest a number of residents of the town against the background of the detention of others, a group of SDF militants, to demand the release of a resident of the town.

The sources added that one of the town’s residents, Atallah Nayef al Hussein, was seriously injured by the bullets of SDF militants, as the town’s youths managed to attack an organization’s headquarters, and they detonated it before the SDF militants were expelled from it.

Local news said that, an unknown persons riding a motorcycle detonated an explosive device in one of the prefabricated rooms near the Iskandar checkpoint on the main street in the town of Hawayj, east of Deir al Zour.

The explosion of the device followed a mobilization of the checkpoint personnel and random fire.

It is noteworthy that SDF organization, with the support of the “international coalition” led by the US army, brought prefabricated rooms a few days ago to the eastern countryside of Deir al Zour to reinforce its military points there.

The tribal popular resistance operations increased in the countryside of Deir al Zour governorate, which is under the control of the US army, against the sites of SDF organization, which is directly supported by the US army, with the approaching end of the neglect that the Arab tribes and tribes gave to the “international coalition” forces to achieve their demands which focus on expelling SDF and the release of the detainees, and the disclosure of the identity of those who carried out the assassinations against the sheikhs (leaders) of the Arab tribes during the last period, which ends on the 11th of September.
