European Union High Representative for Security Policy and Foreign Affairs: Turkey, Russia and China want to change ‘the rules of the game’

The European Union’s High Representative for Security Policy and Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell said Turkey, Russia and China want to change the rules of the game towards Europe.

In an article published in the French Weekly Le Journal du Dimanche, he added that Turkey, Russia and China want to change the rules of the international game, indicating that these countries believe that the balance of power around the world is changing.

He stressed that Turkey is trying to show itself as a major player in the region, indicating that Ankara has used different methods and methods regarding the eastern Mediterranean.

He pointed out that the return of Hagia Sophia to a mosque, coinciding with the anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, was not a coincidence.

He added: “Turkey will remain an important partner (of the European Union) in many files.
