Media sources in Damascus reported that a number of Syrian army members were killed on Friday evening, and 12 others were wounded, after an explosive device exploded in a military bus.
The bus was carrying soldiers on the road to Hamima, the third station, towards Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs.
A Syrian military source reported, that a number of Syrian army soldiers were killed and others were wounded as a result of two successive explosive devices exploding in a military bus, which were planted by armed men on Hamima Road, the second station, the far eastern countryside of Homs extending towards the Syrian-Iraqi border.
According to the source, the bombing killed 4 Syrian soldiers and wounded 8 others, who were treated at Palmyra Hospital, and then transferred to the Military Hospital in Homs.
The Syrian desert has witnessed tensions in recent days, as violent clashes erupted last week between members of the Syrian army and militants affiliated with the terrorist organization “ISIS” in the Rusafa area in Raqqa countryside during the passage of an army patrol in the area.
