Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said the Beirut bombing would have been more severe had it touched Iranian-made missiles there.
The Israeli Defense Minister added, “We witnessed the tragedy that occurred in Beirut, and let us imagine if the explosion affected the missiles in Lebanon”.
Gantz added, “There is a guest room and a missile room in the same house”.
On Monday, during a meeting of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, Gantz indicated that Iran continues to seek nuclear weapons, noting that “Israel must not turn a blind eye to that”.
He stressed the need for Israel to communicate with the countries of the region to preserve the stability of the region, noting that “the biggest goal of Israel is to continue the pressure on Iran”.
He said that Israel is working to prevent Iranian entrenchment in Syria and other countries in the region, stressing that Hassan Nasrallah is the archenemy of Israel from the north.
