The finance minister of the German state of Hesse committed suicide under the express train

German media reported today, Sunday that the body of Hesse State Minister of Finance, Thomas Schafer, was found on a fast train and police said that preliminary information indicated that he committed suicide.

Hesse State Police explained that they found the body lying on the railroad in the state capital Wiesbaden, and that after extensive investigations through criminal technical and scientific testimonial data it was verified that it was the body of Thomas Schafer, and suggested that the death came through his suicide.

Defense minister and head of the Christian Democratic Party, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, posted a tweet on Twitter saying: “We were all shocked at the CDU news of the sudden death of Thomas Schafer.

We are in a state of sadness and amazement.

Now all our thoughts and prayers are with his family”.

The news of the death of Schafer (54 years) caused a shock in the political and popular circles in Germany, while the country is passing through the crisis of the outbreak of the new coronavirus, although the number of deaths remains limited compared to many European countries such as Italy, Spain and France.
