Netanyahu announces the closure of shops and cinemas in an attempt to stop the spread of the Corona virus… and the number of infected people in Israel to 193

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Saturday wide-ranging measures related to public life, including the closure of shops, cinemas and other unnecessary facilities, in an attempt to stem the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19) .

Netanyahu added that these measures will come into effect from Sunday, but he assured settlers that institutions that provide essential services such as banks and supermarkets will remain open.

Netanyahu added that employees can work from home.

He also advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.

Netanyahu explained that the government will use digital measures and standards that are usually used to monitor terrorism to track the spread of the virus.

Israel announced on Saturday that it had recorded 50 new cases of coronavirus within 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 193.

On Saturday, the Israeli Ministry of Health stated that more than 60,000 Israelis are under isolation, including more than 2,000 soldiers, and 8,652 students and teachers.

On Thursday, Israel announced the closure of schools and universities to limit the spread of Corona.

On Wednesday, the World Health Organization classified the “pandemic”, which is a more severe and broader scientific term than the “global epidemic”, symbolizing the international spread of the virus and not confining it to one country.

As of Saturday, Corona afflicted more than 155,000 in 149 countries and territories, of whom more than 5,000 and 800 had died, most of them in China, South Korea, Italy and Iran.
