Khamenei issues an urgent decree to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces to establish health and treatment headquarters to organize services for citizens, coinciding with the announcement of his senior adviser to being diagnosed with coronavirus

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issued a decree to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, ordering the establishment of a health and treatment headquarters to regulate services for citizens.

Khamenei said in his decree that this measure comes from evidence that goes to the possibility of this accident being a biological attack and could also take the nature of a biological defense maneuver and enhance national competence and capabilities, according to the Fars agency.

Today, Thursday, Tasnim news agency said that the chief adviser of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had contracted the new coronavirus.

“Ali Akbar Velayati, who is also the head of a hospital in Tehran, has had many coronavirus patients in the past few weeks.

The infection has passed to him and he is now quarantined.

The Iranian “Fars” Agency reported yesterday, Wednesday, that the First Vice President, Ishaq Jahangiri, and two members of the government, Iranian Minister of Industry and Trade Reza Rahmani, and Minister of Culture and Tourism Ali Asghar Monsan, were infected with the new coronavirus “Covid 19”.

Iran announced, on Wednesday, that the number of people infected with the new Coronavirus reached 9,000, while the number of deaths rose to 354.

A spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Kyanosh Jahanpur, said today, Wednesday, that “63 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number to 354, while 958 new injuries were recorded, bringing the total to 9000.”

He added that the number of those recovering so far has reached 2959, pointing out that there are 30 laboratories in Iran that are responsible for determining the infection of the coronavirus.
