The son of a former German president was stabbed to death in Berlin

Fritz von Wiesacker, son of former German President Richard von Wiesacker, has been killed in Berlin, German media reported.

“The president’s son, a 59-year-old doctor, died of wounds sustained after he was stabbed in an attack on a medical institution in the capital”, the media said.

A spokeswoman for the German police that “one of the attendees tried to attack the attacker, but he was seriously injured, and taken to hospital, while police arrested the perpetrator”.

It is noteworthy that the deceased took the position of chief physician in the medical clinic where he was killed while giving a lecture on liver problems.

Richard Von Weissacker, who died in 2005, lasted ten years between 1984 and 1994.
