Gunmen assassinate pastor of Armenian Catholic Church with his father in Deir Ezzor, Syria

Father Ibrahim Hanna Bidu, known as “Hosib Abraham Biduyan”, a priest and pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Armenian Church in Qamishli, was killed along with his father, Hanna Ibrahim Bidu, by unknown gunmen as they traveled from al-Hasakah governorate to Deir Ezzor Organizing “SDF”.

The priest is a resident of the city of Qamishli and was on his way to Deir Ezzor on a church mission.

According to a medical source in the city of Al Hasakah, the priest Bidu and his father Hanna were transferred to a private hospital in the city after their arrival as they died as a result of heavy gunfire by an armed group at the entrance to the town of Al Shuhail in Deir Ezzor countryside.

The source added that the car, which was driven by Hanna Ibrahim Bidu (born 1948) and his son, the priest, Ibrahim Hanna Bidu (born in 1976), which included two other people, the deacon Fadi and Anton Malco were shot at close range and from the front, which led to the injury of the priest.

His father was severely wounded in the head and chest, resulting in lightning bleeding.

They were taken to Al Hasakah from a hospital in the private town of Al Shuhail.

It is noteworthy that the town of Al Shuhail and its environs are under the control of the organization “SDF” loyal to the US military and witnessed a security chaos since a long time.
