Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that his country will carry out the operation east of the Euphrates River in Syria.
This came in a speech delivered by Erdogan at the opening ceremony of the highway between the cities of Istanbul and Izmir.
The Turkish president said his country had informed Russia and the United States about the expected operation.
“We’ve carried out operations in Afrin, Jarablus and Al Bab (Aleppo) and now we’ll carry out the operation east of the Euphrates River in Syria”.
In the economic aspect, Erdogan pointed to the Turkish central bank, reducing the interest rate from 24 to 19.75.
He stressed that the interest rate will fall further, adding, “I am happy that inflation will also decline”.
